The volumes present an English translation of the work Tiloyapannatti which is an important Jaina work on the cosmos. They give the original verses in Sanskrit along with their translation. The work by Acharya Yati Vrishabha who flourished between the fifth and seventh centuries AD describes the different type of universe: their shape, size, extent, area and change of periods. The gathas of the chapters describe regions of dwellings of celestial beings, number of gods reincarnating and death in one samaya, and the nature of mansion dwelling gods. With many diagrams, they also contain eulogies of Tirthankaras and a detailed account of Jain mythologies.
