The book, emphasising the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and copyright in the era of globalisation, discusses issues related to them to promote awareness on them among the people. It takes up in detail IPRs vis-a-vis violations of copyright, copyright status of digital information and copyright in the digital environment, and librarianship and violation of IPR at the international level. The contributions by librarians and teachers of library information science examine how and why violation of copyright takes place in different areas and sectors.
