On June 16, 2009 the first ever summit level meeting of the BRIC was held at Yekaterinburg, Russia. With a view to develop the framework for dialogue among BRIC leaders, the Observer Research Foundation hosted a Track II conference of experts from the four countries at New Delhi in May 2009. This 2-day conference discussed the current economic crisis, climate change, trade, industry, energy security and most importantly, ways in which the BRIC interaction may be institutionalized. The expertise and the intellect available at this gathering helped in the formulation of the responses.

Present edited volume contains the detailed proceedings of the abovesaid conference alongwith prescriptions and suggestions.
