Title Review

This book attempts to investigate the problems and limitations of foreign policy of a small and land-locked state like Bhutan. Dealing with the basic determinants of Bhutan’s foreign policy such as geographical location, political and historical background, social traditions, economic condition and the influence of Buddhism, it discusses at length the administrative structure of the Royal Government and its various institutions like monarchy, legislature and advisory council, along with their influence on the decision-making process of the foreign policy.

It further analyses various dimensions of Indo-Bhutan relations -- political, strategic and economic. Bhutan’s relations with China and other South Asian countries have also been reviewed.
