The book explores how the life and mission of the Church needs to evolve in particularly the Indian context: a tradition of religious plurality that seeks integration even as poverty and oppression cry out for liberation. Exploring how the Church is to be a living witness to salvation in Christ, the essays reveal a preoccupation with the concerns of the local context with the ultimate goal of building up an indigenous church.
