BOOK-SEARCH : A HELP
As a service organization established in 1968 standing, DK have come to have a prodigious database that comprises far more than a hundred thousand Indian titles in English language alone! Here, however, we have set out the more recent works, i.e., the ones that have poured into DK's Acquisition Programme since 1991 – barring, though, a few older records as well.
Book-Search is intended to primarily aid the "general" reader/user. And, therefore, we must apologize to the librarians/specialists for not conforming to the AACR or other technical cataloguing formats.
GUIDELINES FOR BOOK-SEARCH
Usual Search-Fields
Routinely, the detail about a book can be had by its :- Keyword (Author/Title)
- Year (use this to narrow down search result)
- The search fields support truncation wildcard (wherever applicable).
Since we have keyworded the data, you can minimize your effort by avoiding articles (a, an, the) and prepositions (in, of, for, on et al). Changing the order of keywords would also yield the same results.Please Email us about this programme : - if you have any suggestion to improve upon it, or

As the list of books here is just a partial representation of our database (covering, as it does, the period 1991 onwards), it may fail to show up the Indian Publication you have been looking for. If, in this event, you let us know your requirement: whether an old publication or a new release, we shall try to impart the relevant information from our office records.
Wildcard
Identifying the missing links in the names/words concerning a book's Author, Title, Place of Publication, or Publisher, the search engine inheres the capabilities to handle truncation wildcard: (*). NOTE: "*" works only at the end of search words. |
