Title Review

This study investigates how the charismatic political power of Gandhi was declined gradually after the withdrawal of Non-cooperation Movement in 1922. Based on official documents, correspondences, memoirs and diaries, it deals with the conspiracies against Gandhi running behind the scenes.

The book argues that Gandhi, who galvanized the dumb million poor and rural folk of India into a political force, failed to understand his own power hungry close associates who hobnobbed with the British administration and turned the course of Indian history.
