Title Review

Dr Dimitriev, a renowned scholar, studies the activities of the Indian revolutionaries and freedom fighters in the Central Asian region after the First World War when they shifted their base from places in the USA and England to places like Stockholm, Moscow and Kabul. Based on material in archives of Tashkent and Moscow and publications in the contemporary press, the work shows how the revolutionaries made their functional abode in these areas -- as, for instance, setting up a military school to train Indian Liberation Army and engaging in other activities. It examines their organisation in this region, and their policies and programmes here.
